WJR Business Beat with Jeff Sloan: SampleServe (Episode 22)

On this morning’s WJR Business Beat, Jeff shares the story of a Traverse City-based company that has temporarily pivoted its business. SampleServe’s Sampling App was originally created to automate the process of testing groundwater and drinking water; but today, the technology is being modified to help with COVID-19 medical screenings.

In an article about the pivot, SampleServe CEO, Russell Schindler, said: “Right now communities across the country are scrambling to set up mobile medical screening locations. The technical details and logistics involved are unprecedented. SampleServe is teaming up with TentCraft, a tent manufacture to offer simple and quick solution to some of the more technical problems.”

Jeff shares details below:

“Entrepreneurs are inspiring in the best of times in any regard, but people like Gina (Thorsen) and Russell and others right here in the great state of Michigan and across the country, are shifting their business models, keeping their employees working, delivering great service to the community when we need it most.”
