StartupNation: What is your favorite aspect of being an entrepreneur?
Dedra: Being able to endlessly create and answer to myself.
StartupNation: To what do you attribute your success as an entrepreneur and business owner?
Dedra: God – He gives me inspiration and encourages me on.
StartupNation: What ignited the spark in you to start/select your particular business as an entrepreneur?
Dedra: A severe decrease in our family income.
StartupNation: What would you say are the top three skills needed to be a successful entrepreneur?

StartupNation: If you had one piece of advice for someone just starting out, what would it be?
Dedra: You have to love what you do to be an entrepreneur. If you don’t love it, things probably won’t work out.

Dedra: Color palettes inspire me.

Dedra: Success first has to be dreamed.

StartupNation: How did you get funding for your startup?
Dedra: My husband and I sold my wedding ring to buy Photoshop and Illustrator.

Dedra: Make sure you really like what you are doing in case it doesn’t return a profit.

StartupNation: What changes have you seen in your business market since starting?
Dedra: It has become saturated and cut throat.
StartupNation: What do you see coming that will impact your business?
Dedra: I have to be constantly designing and on my toes to get sales because of too many competitors. I am constantly looking for new avenues to diversify.
