Office Design Makes a Difference!
It may or may not surprise you to learn that the design of your office has a direct impact on your employees.
Yes, really. Recent analysis from the World Green Building Council concluded that there is “overwhelming evidence” linking office design with productivity and wellness, but it has long been accepted by larger businesses for a very long time.
But what if you’re a small business, with a small budget? I hear you ask.
Luckily, you don’t have to invest a lot of money into interior designers and state-of-the-art desks to create a productive office space. Simple things like layout (open plan vs closed cubicles) can have a direct effect on office dynamics and employee satisfaction.
For example, research has found that cubicle workers are the least satisfied, whereas open environments have been known to boost productivity, energy and connectedness.
