Good morning, Paul!
I know it’s a Monday morning, got to crank up the engine, not only for the day, but for the week ahead. I get it. Nonetheless, entrepreneurs have to push themselves. And so this morning on the Business Beat, we’re going to do just that. Here we go. Now, just when we’re thinking we’ve got a handle on things and making moves to go where the action is as entrepreneurs and keeping up with all the hottest, latest and greatest technological marketing advancements for business, for all the newfangled social media platforms that are the it platforms of the day, and you get it, along comes Snap. The parent company of Snapchat, you know, the powerful social media platform targeting the younger demographic and is one of the hottest tech companies in the world, announces that they are diligently working on the next generation of man-machine interface that will allow us to control technology by using only our minds.
And Snap has just completed an acquisition of a company called NextMind, a Paris-based neurotech company, as part of its initiative and it is this company that possesses the technology that will make all this become a reality. And it’s a lot closer to reality than you may think.
Why is Snap focused on this? Well, the company says our products empower people to express themselves, live in the moment, learn about the world and have fun together. Snap said it will work with NextMind technology to overlay computing on the world and improve the way that technology can serve humanity.
And NextMind? Well, they have this to say: “Our technology enables people to control electronic devices with only their minds.”
OK. Here’s the thing, Paul. Beyond the wow of this whole notion and how it’s going to impact our lives going forward, you see, this is the way empowered entrepreneurs bring life-changing innovation and enhancements to our everyday lives.
