Karen Wickre is the former editorial director for Twitter. She held a similar role at Google for nearly a decade and has worked in Silicon Valley for 30 years. She has been a columnist for Wired.com and is a cofounder of Newsgeist, an annual unconference fostering new approaches to news. She lives in San Francisco.
