After graduating in 2000 with a degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography, Purusha Rivera became a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer specializing in OB/GYN at both Union Hospital of Cecil Country. With a determined spirit, and a heart for the trade, Purusha paved her way into the medical pregnancy community. After eight years working the hospital, Purusha transitioned to a private contractor position, leaving time to explore ways to provide expecting mothers an unforgettable ultrasound experience. It wasn’t long before Purusha discovered the bear that could record a baby’s heartbeat, creating a memory that would last a lifetime, one that each mother could hold near and dear to her heart – her baby’s heartbeat. Purusha Rivera is now the founder and president of the multimillion dollar company, My Baby’s Heartbeat Bear. She has poured her heart into creating pregnancy keepsakes that bring happiness and comfort to families across the globe. Her innovative heartbeat kits have blossomed into gender reveal kits, recordable picture frames, and beautiful cards.
