StartupNation: What is your favorite aspect of being an entrepreneur?
Philip: Freedom to be my own boss!….I’m free from the corporate chain!
StartupNation: To what do you attribute your success as an entrepreneur and business owner?
Philip: Self motivator with the love of being independent!
StartupNation: What ignited the spark in you to start/select your particular business as an entrepreneur?
Philip: Was laid off by corporate America after 35 years as an employee and finally realizing the corporate machine doesn’t care about you because I was just a number in their mind.
StartupNation: What would you say are the top three skills needed to be a successful entrepreneur?
Philip:

Philip: Do what you love and have passion for.

Philip: Make 5 new calls every business day no matter how busy.

Philip: Contact friends and family first about your new business and always ask for referrals.

StartupNation: What changes have you seen in your business market since starting?
Philip: Clients want more personal attention and know you care about their business.
StartupNation: What do you see coming that will impact your business?
Philip: Audiobook industry is exploding so there is tons of new business opportunities.
StartupNation: Have a funny story about a client or business transaction that you want to share along with a key lesson learned?
Philip: After the actor that did the “AFLAC” commercial was fired a few years back, I auditioned to be the new voice of AFLAC. . . It was a “One Word” audition to sound like their corporate duck. . . I found out thousands had auditioned across the country and it turned out AFLAC already had someone in mind that they eventually hired for the gig.
