But then there are some that just make you smile. Well, the entrepreneur cashes in at such an idea as that at the core of Yathu Manick’s business, MI Picnic. That’s M-I Picnic. What do they do? They cater picnics for people. That’s right: You pick the location, you pick the menu and MI Picnic does the rest. They set it up, you walk up to your ready-to-go picnic and you enjoy. Yathu, tell us about how you came up with this amazing business and how it’s doing.
Jeff, so January of 2020, my fiancé, he proposed to me at Cancun in picnic style. So, that was like the first time I’ve experienced something like that. And I was like, ‘Hey, this is a great idea,’ so it’s where I started.
So, what we do now is we’re like a pop-up picnic business. We just set everything up for you guys, and you just come and enjoy.
And so, Yathu, we’ve got to know: how is this pop-up picnic business doing?
A lot of overwhelming responses, a lot of people supporting small business in Michigan area. So, we’ve been getting a lot of requests. People want to celebrate in their backyard or at a metro park or a state park nearby.
