Key Moves

This week on StartupNation Radio we spoke with two successful entrepreneurs about the “Key Moves” they made in starting their businesses that propelled them from small venture to successful enterprise. Hear these entrepreneurs’ awesome stories and see inside their thinking process and how they approached the problems in their businesses.

Our first guest is Brian Scudamore, founder and CEO of 1-800-GOT-JUNK?.

Brian started his business in Vancouver, Canada at the age of 18, and later went on to franchise 1-800-GOT-JUNK? as a way to expand operations. Today, 1-800-GOT-JUNK? has 1000 trucks on the road throughout some 180 locations in Canada, the United States, and Australia.

Our second guest is Jack Aronson, co-founder of Garden Fresh Gourmet. What began as a great salsa recipe in his and his wife’s restaurant in Ferndale, Michigan has exploded into one of the largest salsa brands in the United States with a presence in “20 percent of America’s food stores, and the company commanded 85 percent of the Midwest salsa market” according to an article in HOUR Detroit Magazine.

As usual, Jeff Sloan and Dan Glisky ask the important questions and give you the information you need to start or grow your business.
