Good morning, Paul! Today’s Business Beat is presented by Kapnick Insurance. Every now and then on the Beat, we get to feature a really cool new startup. And today’s Beat we’re featuring a really hot cool company. Started up a few years ago, led by two impressive entrepreneurs that has just announced a major partnership that should even further accelerate its growth. The company AdAdapted based in Ann Arbor. They’re the leading shopping list, marketing and insights platform built for consumers, product brands, agencies and retail. Now AdAdapted’s powerful list data and unique ad products help the world’s top CPGs meet their most important financial goals. The impressive cofounders and leaders of the company? Molly McFarland and Mike Peterson. AdAdapted announced this week that it is successfully closing on a new partnership with Buzzfeed’s Tasty, the world’s largest social network and top recipes, and shopping technology provider known as Northfork. The essence of this deal? Well, with AdAdapted brands will now be able to access users across the Tasty platform and leverage recipes to encourage shoppers to add to their shopping bag. Now, for those that don’t know, Tasty puts more than 6,000 recipes at users’ fingertips and includes an integration with Walmart that allows shoppers to add recipes directly to their Walmart bag. This is a really exciting development for AdAdapted and demonstrates clearly that a great idea with real market opportunity led by very capable entrepreneurs can make itself highly relevant and give itself an opportunity for major success. Highlighting this great entrepreneurial success is a great way to end our week. Hats off to Mike and Molly and the team at AdAdapted.
