We caught up with business owner and entrepreneur Elizabeth Taylor and asked her to answer some questions and share some words of advice and inspiration with our StartupNation audience.

StartupNation: What is your favorite aspect of being an entrepreneur?
Elizabeth: I myself can create what customers want. I feel in charge and makes me feel good.

StartupNation: To what do you attribute your success as an entrepreneur and business owner?
Elizabeth: My children for making me want to do something so fun. They are my inspiration!

StartupNation: What ignited the spark in you to start/select your particular business as an entrepreneur?
Elizabeth: I have three girls, girls are FUN! This is what led me to creating for girls, the spark just happened over night though.

StartupNation: What would you say are the top three skills needed to be a successful entrepreneur?
Elizabeth:

StartupNation: If you had one piece of advice for someone just starting out, what would it be?
Elizabeth: Be patient, work hard and follow your dreams! Never give up.

Elizabeth: Inspiration is everywhere but my children give me the most.

StartupNation: What is your favorite motivational/business quote as an entrepreneur?
Elizabeth:It’s Easy To Fit In, We Aim To Stand Out!

Elizabeth: Get what you get and don’t pitch a fit! Lol!

StartupNation: How did you get funding for your startup?
Elizabeth: I started slow and worked on my business for two years before ever making a first sale, so I slowly funded it myself.

StartupNation: Recommendations for others starting out?
Elizabeth: It may be a rough road ahead, but it will be worth it. Keep your eyes on the prize.

Marketing and Building Their Customer Base

StartupNation: How do you market and build your customer base?
Elizabeth:Shows, Flyers at business’s, postcards, website and social media.

StartupNation: Recommendations for others starting out?
Elizabeth:If people are tired of hearing about your dream business, tell them more. This is what you do, what you love and people should know about it.

Changes in the Business Market

StartupNation: What changes have you seen in your business market since starting?
Elizabeth:I’ve only been in business about a year so I have no opinions on that quite yet.
