WJR Business Beat with Jeff Sloan: Communication Best Practices (Episode 18)

On this morning’s WJR Business Beat, Jeff discusses tips for good communication in business today.

He suggests business owners communicate with their employees daily, and consider video meetings instead of phone calls. Additionally, engage your team, and make sure you’re having conversations with your team, not giving a speech.

Norm Pappas, president and CEO of Pappas Financial, shares some additional insight:

“We’ve never had situations like this, and it’s critical that the leaders of businesses stay in good communication with their employees… (Employees) want to be in touch with other staff members and with the leader. The business owner has to lead by example. Employees are the core to keeping the business alive during these difficult times.”

– Norm Pappas
