How can you help an entrepreneur? Plan more weddings!

45 days until my wedding. I have learned a great deal about many things during this wedding planning phase of my life. The results of which will likely spawn blog fodder for years to come. One of the things that I love about planning a wedding is that you are constantly engaging with entrepreneurs. The wedding business is chock full of self-employed and small business people.

It makes sense when you stop to think about it. (and I’ve been thinking a whole bunch about everything to do with planning a wedding for quite some time now) A wedding, no matter how large or small, is an especially intimate occasion. Especially intimate occasions call for extremely personalized attention. Extremely personalized attention has small business written all over it.

Photographer, caterer, rehearsal dinner site, reception, florist, dressmaker, tuxedo rental, hotel accommodations, rental house, liquor guy (yes, I said liquor guy), jeweler, and the list goes on & on. Entrepreneurs all. And every one selected on the basis of their expertise, value proposition, AND attention to intimate customer service.

My conclusion: we all need to band together and plan more weddings.
