WJR Business Beat with Jeff Sloan: Stormy Kromer (Episode 21)

On this morning’s WJR Business Beat, Jeff shares how Stormy Kromer, a company known for its signature hand-sewn winter wool hats, has moved from creating a “non-essential” to an “essential” product during COVID-19.

In a pivot to assist the community and retain its employees, the Ironwood, Michigan company is now producing facial masks for area hospitals and medical clinics.

Listen in below as Jeff shares insight from his conversation with Stormy Kromer president, Gina Thorsen:

“We have half of our employees working now and hope to be at full capacity with everyone working once we ramp up production on the masks. We’re happy to be in business and we’re so happy that we can help.”
