We have a lot of philosophies about entrepreneurship and small business here at StartupNation. One of them you will hear us mention often on the radio show or at live appearances is that "this is the golden age of entrepreneurship". And essentially what we mean by this is that there has never been a better time to start a business than right now.
There are a multitude of reasons why we believe this to be true – technological advances such as the internet, cell phones, email, etc, etc. as well as other factors such as the abundance of capital out there – whether it be in the form of loans, such as SBA loans, or whether it be in the form of venture or angel equity financing. And there are many more reasons we cite in support of this being a uniquely good time to start and operate a business.
The question is….is this really the golden age for entrepreneurs or is this just a time like any other, with the same level of opportunity and challenge?
