The inspiration for starting a business can come from so many different sources. It happens every day and very often it is spawned from our daily experiences. The two inventor winners from our StartupNation/INPEX promotion, Dave Hammond and James Acevedo, came up with their inspiration through their vocations. Dave was a medic in Vietnam and James works with the New York Fire Department – they came up with the ideas for their inventions in those settings. A talking first aid kit and a wireless smoke alarm – now those are cool inventions!

Do you ever just walk through your day and get frustrated with something that just isn’t quite right? Maybe you’re the one to invent a solution or start a business to meet that need. Turn your frustration into a lifestyle of entrepreneurship that will set you free! That’s taking lemons & making lemonade.
