Good morning, Paul.
Well, by now we know that we are all spending a lot more time online, whether for entertainment, social media, or shopping or all the above.
Today, I’ve got a breakdown of the most visited websites on the web.
So here we go, coming in at number five, Wikipedia.org, with 6.1 billion monthly site visits.
Number four, Twitter.com, 6.6 billion monthly visits.
And those behemoth top three sites, here they are: coming in at number three, it’s Facebook, with a user base of 2.7 billion people worldwide. They account for 25.5 billion monthly site visits.
Number two, it’s the beloved YouTube. The video and music streaming site gets 34.6 billion monthly visits, of which I think my kids account for 30 billion or so per month.
And number one, it’s Google, ranking highest with 92.5 billion monthly site visits.
Couple of other interesting facts from this year’s list, the three fastest growing, Google makes the list again, increasing 52.9% from last year; Twitter growth rate of 67.1% year-over-year; and it’s Instagram with a red-hot growth rate of 89.1% as this year’s fastest mover on the list.
The new kids on the block, how about zoom? Coming in at number 15, and its TikTok rising to number 43, it’s the site that’s hijacked many of our teen kids.
What country dominates the space? Well, it’s the U.S. The U S has 27 of the top 50 most visited websites on this year’s list. So, if you’re taking your business online this year, there’s some metrics to shoot for.
