Monday Morning Mojo: 5 Steps to Raise the Roof on Your Energy Levels

Latest posts by Mike Wade (see all)

Scientists long ago proved that all matter consists of atoms. If you were to represent the nucleus of an atom as a golf ball, to scale, the electrons that encircle the nucleus would be 1 kilometer away! That makes atoms mostly space and, therefore, so is everything in our physical world. Even the densest of matter is mostly space. Well, that’s not quite the whole story when we remember that it’s energy that’s holding the atom together and, in turn, molecules of atoms together. An atom is energy as is everything in the universe. IT’S ALL ENERGY. You and even your thoughts are energy.

We are vibrating balls of energy and the level of our vibration has everything to do with our emotions, our drive, our effectiveness and how people relate to us and circumstances occur to us. Lower vibrational levels result in sluggishness, fearfulness, less effectiveness and reduced drive and motivation. Higher vibrational levels lead to fearlessness, greater effectiveness, happiness and an increased drive and motivation. Have you ever noticed how things just seem to “work” on those days when you’re energized?

The good news is that there are things you can do each day to raise your vibration.

Try out the following 5 energy raising steps for this week:

Start EACH day with at least a 30 minute walk… preferably outside communing with nature. Get your blood pumping. Try taking a yoga class. Go swimming. Take an aerobics class. No matter what it is, make a commitment to raising your physical vibration each and every day.

Eating foods high in fat and sugar is the fastest way to LOWER your vibration. At the very least, do not eat foods high in fat and sugar for the week. Eat light, healthy foods. Raw fruits and vegetables are a bonus. Here’s a (nothing new) sample menu to guide you:

BREAKFAST: Oatmeal with honey and blueberries. Hard boiled egg.

AM SNACK: Piece of fruit and a glass of milk.

LUNCH: Salad with a grilled chicken breast (light dressing).

PM SNACK: Handful of almonds.

DINNER: Salmon with steamed vegetables and a baked sweet potato.

The old adage “Laughter is the Best Medicine” couldn’t be closer to the truth. Laughter is one of the easiest ways to raise your vibration. It actually releases endorphins that make us feel good. Share a joke of the day, watch comedy shows, look for humor around you. You can even laugh when there is nothing funny going on. Simply start laughing out-loud… deep, guttural laughter. Do this for 15 seconds and you will notice that you get the same benefits of laughing at something that was actually funny. It’s amazingly effective and you can actually use this when you have a lull in your energy levels.

There are plenty of negative things and negative people filling our world and dwelling on them will quickly bring your vibration down. Fill your mind with positive thoughts. Focus on the amazing things you want in your life. Turn away from the negative thoughts and negative people. Don’t gossip or watch TV programs that dwell in the negative (like the local news). Associate more with positive people.

Schedule an activity each day that you really enjoy. Give yourself a treat to look forward to. This can be playing with your kids in the park, a movie, going to a social event, going bowling or playing tennis. It doesn’t have to be elaborate, just recognize it as something special that you’re giving yourself… an act of love of yourself.

There are other things that you can do to raise your vibration, but these will get you started. Give them a try. You have everything to gain (and nothing to lose).

Have an “off the charts”, high energy week everyone!

With love,
